Using my background in education and wellness I am able to combine the two for dynamic curriculum development and staff wellness experiences.
Wellness in the Youth Development space for non-profits and schools.
Social emotional learning is at the forefront of what we do and I combine it with mindfulness and trauma informed practices for a more rounded curriculum that is culturally responsive to the needs of the children you serve. Each agency and program is different as are the participants, so we work together to create a program where youth have a safe space to express who they are.
It can be hard to know where to begin when developing healthy habits. I’ve created 90 minute workshops that are designed to provide education and activities that support a healthy mindset. Once there is an understanding of wellness, we can see how beneficial it is in working with youth. There are a number of workshops to choose from such as Decoding Labels, Sugar Detox, Balance the Stress, Eating for Energy.
Employees are more productive when they are able to manage their stress. Group yoga and meditation classes allow them time to connect with their minds, breath, and stay in the present. They leave feeling relaxed and better equipped to tackle their daily tasks.
Yoga for families in your programs allows for your youth and their guardians to connect in a meaning way as they learn how to take care of themselves and thrive in your program.
